Wedding Venue
After you make yourself a budget, first and foremost you will want to pick out your venue. You are going to want to book your venue at least a year in advance because dates do fill up fast due to other weddings, anniversary parties, conferences and so on. Venue's normally ask for a $500-$1500 non-refundable deposit to hold your date. Some venues have more then one ballroom or room so you may be sharing your venue with another family or couple. Some people do not like sharing venues so many venues do give you the chance to rent out the complete venue just for your special night for a small fee. Some venues give you a discount on weddings Sunday-Thursday. Many venues have wedding coordinators on site to help you with all your wedding needs, they will show you sentimentals from other couples that used the venue and names of photographers and information for your wedding entertainment. Venue's normally include dinner with open bar these days but if you prefer to do a cash bar tell your coordinator and she will make a plan according to your budget. Some venues charge a small fee for colored linens if you want to coordinate to your wedding colors. Be sure to look over everything before you put your deposit down because it's non-refundable. Don't forget it's your wedding , and wedding coordinators are there to help and make you happy, if you want something changed they will normally always try to appeal to you.
